Lay Away is simple — send 20% earnest money security deposit to hold the item and pay it off in a reasonable time frame … 60 days, 90 days, six months. If you run into trouble all payments are refundable except for the initial earnest money deposit. This compensates me for taking an item off the market for several months, losing the opportunity to sell it at various shows, and then having to pay my helpers to re-list it, in the event of a cancellation. Fair enough?
